### Hello (Howdy) from Texas!

Hello everyone! I just passed my FE Exam on my second attempt. I will be taking the Civil/Transportation PE Exam in April 2017 and am excited for this new challenge, but very nervous. I don't know where to start studying... I purchased the CERM, Six minute problems, and NCEES Practice Exam. I look f...

That's not much difficult, use the below code:

Code: Select all

``maxMatrix = [max(a) max(b) max(c)];``
maxMatrix will be your matrix with maximum values of matrix a, b and c. Moreover, it will be a vector and if you want a 2 Dimensional matrix then add d too.
Thanks for the code Fri Mar 10, 2017 12:40 pm

### Re: How to call a function which is in another program MATLAB

You should place your Main file and the function file in the same folder otherwise you can't call function files in the Main File. Moreover, another thing I just checked is that you are missing the bracket sign in below code: [C,rows, cols, entries] = Matrix'C.txt') So, you should add this small brac...

Here's the command to compare two strings:

Code: Select all

``tf = strcmp(s1,s2)``
where s1 and s2 are the textboxes string and tf will return whether they are same or not. You should also have a look at this link to know more about this command: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/strcmp.html
It's worked !

Switching is always done in a symmetrical pattern, means you have to switch them one by one, first then second then third. You should have a look at this tutorial: 3 Level Cascaded H Bridge Inverter and 11 Level Cascaded H Bridge Inverters.

### How can I find each max element of three matrices as new matrix?

Maybe the question is a little bit confused, I'll make an example below. Let's say I have a 3 matrices a, b, c with same size. a = [2, 5; 6, 9]; b = [3, 3; 8, 1]; c = [5, 5; 2, 7]; How can I get the new matrix max with each max element in all three matrices? max = [5, 5; 8, 9] I know I could create ...

### Faster multiple matrix value assignments in MATLAB

I want to calculate the norm of each column of a large matrix (tens rows with thousands of columns) containing NaN. Prior to calculating the norm, each column is subtracted by its mean. All NaN values are treated as 0. Thus I perform these as nanix = isnan(X); nx = sum(~nanix); % count the number of...
