Verify channel selection, terminal configuration, range, units and scaling against the hardware and sensor. A VI can execute successfully while reading the wrong channel or interpreting volts as an engineering unit. Begin with a known low-risk input or simulated data and check expected values. Keep actuator outputs disabled until the acquisition and stopping logic are understood.

Inspect error handling and resource cleanup through every path. A timeout, file-write failure or user stop should not leave a task running unexpectedly. Check whether the threshold uses raw samples, filtered samples or a block average, because those choices have different response times. Specify the required stopping behavior and test values just below and above the threshold.

Measure acquisition timing and verify saved records independently. A responsive front panel does not prove that no samples were dropped. Include tests for a full disk, disconnected hardware and an invalid configuration. Treat the generated VI as code that needs review and regression tests, and retain the exact tested version with the instrument and driver configuration.
