Overview

TFT LCD stands for Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display. This type of LCDs uses Thin Film Transistor technology to improve the image technology. In contract to the other types of simple LCDs, TFT LCD is an active-matrix LCD while the other type of LCDs uses passive-matrix technology.
