Overview

The Arduino WiFi Shield is an electronic device which is used to connect Arduino micro controller to the internet wirelessly. Arduino micro controller is the most advanced form of the micro controller, now you can connect this beauty to internet wirelessely and can control the world.

The Arduino WiFi Shield allows an Arduino board to connect to the internet using the 802.11 wireless specification (WiFi). It is based on the HDG204 wireless LAN. An AT32UC3 provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP. Use the audrino wifi library to write sketches which connect to the internet using the shield. The wifi shield connects to an Arduino board using long wire-wrap headers which extend through the shield. This keeps the pin layout intact and allows another shield to be stacked on top. There is an on board micro-SD card slot, which can be used to store files for serving over the network. It is compatible with the Arduino Uno and Mega. The on board micro SD card reader is accessible through the Arduino SD library.

1. YELLOW:  This is tied to digital pin#9
2. GREEN:     Indicated the connection of a network
3. RED:          Indicates that there is an error in network.
4. BLUE:         Indicated that data is either transmitted or received.
