Overview

HC05 is a serial port Bluetooth module, designed for transparent wireless serial communication. HC-05 is the most economical and easiest way to wirelessely communicate. It is the cheapest and the easiest technology available in market up-till now. Serial port Bluetooth module is fully qualified Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) 3Mbps Modulation with complete 2.4GHz radio transceiver and base-band.

Terminals:

This module has 6 pins as seen in the figure. Pin configuration is:

  1. STATE
  2. RXD
  3. TXD
  4. VCC (3.6V-6V)
  5. GND
  6. EN
RX and TX are the communication pins and are used for serial wireless data communication. State pin reresents the state of the module. Either it is in ON state or OFF state. The operating voltage range for this module is 3.6V to 6V. This module generally operates on 3.6V. Compatibility: HC-05 Bluetooth module is compatible with the following micro-controllers:
