Sharp IR Long Range Sensors

Overview

Sharp IR Long Range Sensors for the engineering students at a very minimal rate. The range of IR sensors is from 20cm to 150cm. It is a transceiver module means it has both transmitter and receiver in it. IR rays are emitted by the transmitter and after hitting some object these rays are reflected and are are received by the receiver. On the basis of the time taken by the rays to come back, one can easily find the distance between this sensor and the object. The IR sensor is mostly used for obstacle avoidance in robots.
