If you have ever built a quadcopter, an RC plane or a hovercraft, you know the little blue box with two thick battery leads on one side, three motor wires on the other and a servo lead in between. That is the ESC, the electronic speed controller, and without it a brushless motor does not turn at all. Now you can wire one in Proteus, drive it from an Arduino with the Servo library and watch it arm, start the motor and hold its speed.
