The LAN8720 module is the cheapest way to give an ESP32 a wired network: a small board with a Microchip LAN8720A Ethernet PHY, a 50 MHz oscillator and an RJ45 jack. The ESP32 already has an Ethernet controller inside, so the module only connects that controller to the cable, and your sketch uses the ETH library instead of WiFi.
