These modules connect your Arduino to the things around it: a smartphone app, a home router, a cloud dashboard or another Bluetooth module. That's why they are part of almost every IoT, home automation and phone-controlled robot project that students design. Wireless modules are also the hardest part of these projects to debug, because the phone, the router and the module all have to agree before anything works.
