Update LCD Display with ESP32 Web Server
Web Input for LCD with ESP32, update lcd status with webserver, esp32 lcd webserver, update lcd esp32 webserver, lcd web input esp32
Hello readers, I hope you all are doing great. ESP32 is a powerful chip for Internet of Things applications. This tutorial is also based on one of the ESP32 applications in the field of IoT. Project Overview In this tutorial, we will learn how to update LCD display with new data or input using a web server created with ESP32. Fig. 1 To achieve the target, we will be using an HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) form to provide web input and then update the text displayed on LCD. The values or input received from the webserver will be further stored inside a variable in the code for further use (to display on LCD). We have already posted a tutorial on LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) interfacing with ESP32. In that tutorial, we demonstrated how to displa ...

Hello readers, hope you all are doing great. Today, we will discuss interrupts and timers in ESP32 and how to handle internal as well as external interrupts. So, we will discuss What is interrupt, Polling, ESP32 interrupt, Software interrupts, Hardware Interrupts, IRS (Interrupt Service routine), Steps to execute an interrupt or how is an interrupt handled in the microcontroller, Code description for ESP32 interrupts with Arduino IDE, Code description for hardware interrupts, Why is it preferred to use timer to add delay instead of using delay() function. So, let's get started: What is Interrupt? Interrupts are used when a micro-controller needs to continuously monitor for an event while the same micro-controller is executing a particular task ...

LCD esp32, esp32 lcd, lcd interfacing with esp32, interface lcd with esp32, 16x2 lcd esp32, esp32 lcd 16x2, ESp32 LCD interfacing
Hello readers, we hope you all are doing great. Welcome to the 1st lecture of Section 4 in the ESP32 Programming Series. In this section, we will interface the ESP32 module with common Embedded modules(i.e. LCD, Keypad, RTC etc.). In today's tutorial, we will interface ESP32 with a 16x2 LCD and will display data using both Data Mode and I2C Mode. LCD is the most commonly used embedded module in IoT Projects. It is used to display different types of data i.e. sensor readings, warning messages, notifications etc. Before going forward, let's first have a look at what is LCD and How it works: 16x2 LCD Module LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is a type of electronic display module that is used in a wide variety of applications and devices such as calculators, computers, mobile phones, ...

Sending Data to Cloud with ESP32 and ThingSpeak
Sending data to Cloud with ESP32 and ThingSpeak, ESP32 ThingSpeak communication, send data to ThingSpeak with ESP32, ThingSpeak ESP32, ESP32 ThingSpeak, what is ThingSpeak, ThingSpeak API with ESP32
The Internet of Things ( or IoT) is a network of interconnected computing devices such as digital machines, automobiles with built-in sensors, or humans with unique identifiers and the ability to communicate data over a network without human intervention. Hello readers, I hope you all are doing great. In this tutorial, we will learn how to send sensor readings from ESP32 to the ThingSpeak cloud. Here we will use the ESP32’s internal sensor like hall-effect sensor and temperature sensor to observe the data and then will share that data cloud. What is ThingSpeak? Fig. 1: ESP32 ThingSpeak It is an open data platform for IoT (Internet of Things). ThingSpeak is a web service operated by MathWorks where we can send sensor readings/data to the cloud. We ...

ESP32 OTA (Over The Air) Programming
Over the air (OTA) programming, Applications of OTA, How does OTA work, Implementing OTA update feature using ESP32, Code description, Uploading new program into ESP32 module over the air, ESP32 OTA
Hello readers, hope you all are doing great. In this tutorial, we are going to discuss a mechanism that allows users to update the ESP32 with a new program wirelessly or over the air (without using a USB cable to upload a new program). Over-The-Air (OTA) programming Fig. 1 ESP32 OTA OTA programming is the mean by which a product manufacturer or product service provider can update the features or functionality of the device wirelessly or over the air, after the device has been deployed in the field where connecting a cable or uploading the code serially is difficult. One key advantage of OTA is that a single central node can send an update to multiple ESPs on the same network. The device must have a provisioning client capable of receivin ...

Object Counting Project using ESP32-CAM and OpenCV
Object Counting Project using ESP32-CAM and OpenCV
Imagine a real-time object counting system that is budget-friendly and easy to implement. You can achieve this goal with an ESP32-CAM. Today we will build an ESP32-CAM Object Counting System. This project is a combination of the power of embedded systems and computer vision. The main processor of the system is ESP32-CAM, a budget-friendly microcontroller with an integrated camera. This tiny powerhouse captures live video streams and transmits them over Wi-Fi. On the other side, a Python-based application processes these streams, detects objects using image processing techniques, and displays the count dynamically. Whether it’s tracking inventory in a warehouse, monitoring traffic flow, or automating production lines, this system is versatile and adaptable. You can implement this proje ...

ESP32 Low Power Modes
Purpose of low power modes, Low power modes in ESP32, Active mode, Modem sleep mode, Light sleep mode, Deep sleep mode, Hibernation mode, Implementation of deep sleep mode and wakeup using capacitive touch sensitive pins, Arduino IDE code, Implementation of deep sleep mode and wakeup using interrupt method, Code description
Hello readers, hope you all are doing great. In this tutorial, we will discuss low power modes in ESP32, their purpose and their implementation to increase the battery life by reducing power consumption. Purpose of Low Power Modes Fig.1 Along with multiple wireless and processing features, ESP32 also provides us with a power-saving feature by offering sleep modes. When you are powering the ESP32 module from the live supply using an adaptor or a USB cable, there is nothing to worry about power consumption. But when you are using a battery, as a power source to ESP32, you need to manage the power consumption for longer battery life. Low Power Modes in ESP32 When ESP32 is in sleep mode, a small amount of power is required to maintain the state of ...

Server-Sent Events with ESP32 and DHT11
Server-Sent Events with ESP32 and DHT11, What is Server-Sent Events, SSE in ESP32, How does the Server-Sent Event works, Event-Source connection esp32, handling http get request in esp32
Hello readers, I hope you all are doing great. In this tutorial, we will learn how to update a webpage using Server-Sent Events and the ESP32 web server. What is Server-Sent Events (SSE)? It is a server push technology that enables the client devices to receive automatic updates from a server over HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) connection. SSE also describes how the server can initiate data transmission towards the client once an initial connection with the client has been established. We have already posted a tutorial on how to implement Web socket protocol with ESP32 which is also a protocol used to notify events to a web client. Both the Server-Sent Events (SSE) and Web-Socket technologies seem to be quite similar but they are not. The major difference between the two is that SSE ...

Text Recognition from Video Feed using ESP32-CAM, Text Recognition with OpenCV, Text Recognition with ESP32 CAM, Python Code to recognize text
Hello, dear tech savvies! We hope everything is going fine with you. Today we’re back with another interesting project. Do you ever wonder how amazing it would be to have a text reader that would be able to read texts from pictures and videos?
