MAX485 RS485 Module Library for Proteus V1.0: Modbus RTU + Arduino

MAX485 RS-485 Module Library for Proteus V1.0: the module with its STATUS panel next to an Arduino UNO

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new MAX485 RS-485 Module Library for Proteus V1.0 . RS-485 is how microcontrollers talk across a factory floor, a farm or a building: two wires, A and B, carry the data hundreds of meters, and many devices share them - energy meters, temperature controllers, VFDs, PLCs. Most of them speak Modbus RTU . The small MAX485 module puts an Arduino on that bus. Until now there was no MAX485 module in Proteus on which you could watch a Modbus master and a slave talk. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the MAX485 datasheet and the Modbus RTU specification. DE turns the driver on and RE the receiver, the board's bias resistors hold the idle line, and the A and B pins of two modules form a real half-duplex bu ...

Micro SD Card Module Library for Proteus V1.0: Arduino Data Logger

Micro SD Card Module Library for Proteus V1.0: the module with its STATUS panel and file browser

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new Micro SD Card Module Library for Proteus V1.0 . The micro SD card module is how an Arduino keeps data: a data logger writes its readings to a CSV file, a game loads its levels, a clock keeps a record of every event, and you take the card to your PC afterwards. The Arduino talks to the card over SPI with four wires, and the SD library does the rest. Until now there was no SD card module in Proteus that the real SD library could read and write. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the SD card specification. The card wakes up in SD mode and enters SPI mode on CMD0, answers CMD8, needs ACMD41 until it has finished its power-up, reports itself as a standard-capacity card with CMD58, then reads and wr ...

DS3231 RTC Module Library for Proteus V1.0: Real Time Clock + Arduino

DS3231 RTC Module Library for Proteus V1.0: the ZS-042 module with its STATUS panel while an alarm fires

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new DS3231 RTC Module Library for Proteus V1.0 . The DS3231 is the real-time clock of almost every Arduino clock, data logger, timer and alarm project: a small blue board with a coin cell that keeps the time and the date even while the Arduino is off. The Arduino reads the time over I2C whenever it needs it, sets alarms that pull a pin LOW at a given second, and stores data in the EEPROM chip next to the clock. Until now there was no DS3231 module to try all that in Proteus. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the DS3231 and AT24C32 datasheets. The clock counts in BCD in the same registers as the real chip, a fresh module starts at 2000-01-01 with OSF set, the two alarms pull INT / SQW LOW at their ...

433MHz RF Module Library for Proteus V1.0: FS1000A + XY-MK-5V

433MHz RF Module Library for Proteus V1.0: the FS1000A transmitter sending a code

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new 433MHz RF Module Library for Proteus V1.0 . The FS1000A transmitter and the XY-MK-5V receiver are the cheapest wireless pair in every Arduino kit: two tiny boards that send a remote-control code across a room, switch a socket, open a gate or carry the reading of a weather sensor. They are also famous for confusing beginners, because the receiver's output is never quiet - it shows noise all the time - and because the range depends so much on the antennas. In Proteus they could not be tried at all. Behind the parts sits our own model of how this pair behaves. The transmitter keys its 433.92 MHz carrier while DATA is HIGH, every receiver of the design hears it 20 us later, and without a carrier the receiver's DA ...

DFPlayer Mini Library for Proteus V1.0: MP3 Player Module + Arduino

DFPlayer Mini Library for Proteus V1.0: the MP3 module playing a track from its micro SD card

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new DFPlayer Mini Library for Proteus V1.0 . The DFPlayer Mini is the tiny MP3 player module with a micro SD card slot that so many Arduino projects use for a voice that says "welcome home", a door bell, an alarm or background music. The Arduino sends it short serial commands - play file 4, volume 20, next - and the module does the rest: it reads the card, decodes the MP3 and drives a speaker. In a simulation it was hard to try, because Proteus has no such part and no card to read. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the datasheet of the module. It answers the 10-byte 7E FF 06 frames at 9600 baud, needs its 0.8 s to start, plays the files of a demo micro SD card - 14 short tracks in folders 01 and ...

Fingerprint Sensor Library for Proteus V1.0: R307 / AS608 + Arduino

Fingerprint Sensor Library for Proteus V1.0: the R307 module with finger C on its window

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new Fingerprint Sensor Library for Proteus V1.0 . The black R307 optical fingerprint module - and the AS608 modules that speak the same protocol - is the classic way to add a fingerprint lock, an attendance system or a door opener to an Arduino project. It talks over a serial port with packets: take an image, turn it into a character file, search the library, store a new finger. In a simulation it is hard to try - a fingerprint module needs a finger on its window, and Proteus has none. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the R307 user manual. It answers every packet of the manual at 57600 baud with the real acknowledge packets and confirmation codes, keeps a library of 1000 templates while the simu ...

IR Receiver + Remote Library for Proteus V1.0: VS1838B NEC Remote

IR Receiver and Remote Library for Proteus V1.0: the VS1838B receiver and the 21-key NEC remote

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new IR Receiver + Remote Library for Proteus V1.0 . The small black VS1838B infrared receiver and the slim 21-key remote that comes with it are in almost every Arduino starter kit, and they are the quickest way to control a project from across the room: a TV-style remote, a receiver with three pins, and the IRremote library. In a simulation they are hard to try - the remote sends 38 kHz light, and Proteus has no light. Behind the parts sits our own model . You click the keys of the remote on the schematic while the simulation runs, the remote builds the real NEC frame - a 9 ms leader, the address, the command and their inverses, bit by bit - and the receiver's OUT pin goes LOW and HIGH exactly as a real VS1838B d ...

TTP229 Touch Keypad Library for Proteus V1.0: 16-Key Capacitive Keypad

TTP229 Touch Keypad Library for Proteus V1.0: the 16-key capacitive touch keypad with its STATUS panel

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share the new TTP229 Touch Keypad Library for Proteus V1.0 . The red TTP229 16-key capacitive touch keypad is the easiest way to give an Arduino project a modern, button-free front panel: sixteen round pads under a thin cover, no moving parts, nothing to wear out. It talks to the Arduino over two wires, SCL and SDO, and for a hobby board it hides a surprising number of traps: it comes with only 8 of its 16 keys switched on, it reports one key at a time unless you bridge two pads, and its serial interface is not I2C at all. Behind the parts sits our own model , written from the TTP229-BSF datasheet. You click the pads on the board while the simulation runs, and the chip answers the way the real one does: it calibrates at po ...
