Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing great. In today's tutorial, we will have a look at How to use Virtual Terminal in Proteus ISIS. It's our 5th tutorial in Proteus Series. I will first explain what is virtual terminal and then we will have a look at its uses and performance in Proteus ISIS.
Virtual Terminal is an important tool available in Proteus and it comes quite in handy while working on serial modules i.e. GSM, GPS, XBee etc. So, let's get started with Virtual Terminal in Proteus.
What is Virtual Terminal ?
Virtual Terminal is a tool in Proteus, which is used to view data coming from Serial Port (DB9) and also used to send the data to Serial Port. In windows XP, there's a built in tool named Hy ...
Update: Here's the latest version of this library: Arduino Nano Library for Proteus(V3.0).
Hi Friends! Happy to see you around. In this post today, I’ll explain the Arduino NANO Library for Proteus V2.0. This library is the advanced version of Arduino Nano Library for Proteus(V1.0). The new version of the Arduino Nano board is more compact, robust, small-sized, and powerful compared to its predecessor. I have already shared the Arduino Uno Library for Proteus V2.0 and Arduino Mini Library for Proteus V2.0.I’ve started designing proteus libraries for new versions of Arduino boards as I’ve received a lot of messages requesting to improve the designs. Stay connected, as I’ll design more proteus libraries for Arduino boards in the coming days.
In this tutorial, we’ll simulate the Ardui ...

Hello friends, hope you all are fine and enjoying good health. In this tutorial, my actual plan was to cover the mostly used components in Proteus like to give users an overview of component selection as there are many components in Proteus whic ...
Hello Learners! Welcome to The Engineering Projects. In the previous tutorial, we discussed the first universal gate i.e. NOR Gate and simulated it in Proteus. Today, we are going to focus on the second universal gate i.e. NAND Gate. We will also derive basic logic gates from the NAND gate, to prove its universality.
Today, we'll seek the answers to the following questions:
What is a NAND Gate? What is a Universal Gate?
NAND as a Universal Gate.
NAND Gate as Universal Gate in Proteus ISIS.
Let's get started:
What is a NAND Gate?
A NAND Gate is designed by inverting the output of AND Gate and thus it gives a LOW output when all of its inputs are HIGH, otherwise, it's HGIH.In order to design a NAND gate, simply place a NOT gate in ...
Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing great. In today's tutorial, I am going to share a new version of Heart Beat Sensor Library for Proteus i.e. version 2.0. I have already posted the First Version of the Heart Beat Sensor Library for Proteus in which you can use the TestPin and if it's HIGH then a single heartbeat pattern will start. So, if you use that library, you will always get the same result for your heartbeat. But in this 2nd version, I have added variable heartbeat depending on the value of TestPin. I will show you in detail, how to do it.
I have also posted a project Heart Beat Counter using Arduino in which I have shown you How you can use this sensor and count your Heart Beat. So, let me show you How you can use this new Heart ...
Hello friends! I hope you are doing great. Today, we are discussing the latest version of the Arduino Mega 1280 library for Proteus. This can be used in both versions (Proteus 7 and Proteus. We have shared the previous versions, which are the Arduino Mega 1280 library for Proteus and the Arduino Mega 1280 library for Proteus V2.0 with you. With the advancement in the version, these microcontrollers have a better structure and the design is closer to the real microcontrollers.
In this article, I will discuss the introduction of the Arduino Mega 1280 in detail. Here, you will learn the features and functions of this microcontroller. Then, we’ll see how to download and install this library in Proteus. In the end, we’ll see a mini project using the Arduino Mega 1280 V3.0. Let’s move towards ...
Hello students! Welcome to the new tutorial on Proteus Library. I hope you are doing well. Today, the purpose of this article is to describe the basic introduction of the MC34064 Boost Converter library in Proteus and its installation process. The Boost Converter is a popular step-up device that uses an MC34064 IC for voltage monitoring.
Proteus does not have this library by default; therefore, I designed this for the student seeking the solution to the Boost Converter project simulations. We’ll describe the procedure to use it as well, but let’s start with the basic introduction of the MC34064 Boost Converter.
Introduction to the MC34064 Boost Converter
The boost converter is the DC-DC converter device that converts the low input voltage into the high output voltage while maintain ...
Hello everyone, I hope you all are fine and having fun with your lives. Today, I am going to share a new Capacitive Touch Sensor Library for Proteus, which is designed for the first time by our team. :) Capacitive Touch Sensor is used to sense the presence of a human finger on the sensor.
We all know that human carries a charge, which is used by these touch sensors. These sensors are available these days online and you can easily buy them. I have designed its Proteus Library which I am presenting today for free to our readers. I hope you guys are going to enjoy working on it. :) So, let's get started with Capacitive Touch Sensor Library for Proteus:

Hello friends, hope you all are fine and enjoying good health. In the previous posts, we have seen How to design a 5V DC power supply in Proteus ISIS and after that we have also discussed How to design a variable DC Power supply using LM317.So, now today we will check how to design a DC Motor Drive Circuit in Proteus ISIS. DC motor is present in Proteus and quite easy to use. First we will simple drive it by applying voltage on its both sides i.e. direct method and after that we will automate it and will drive the circuit using PIC Microcontroller. The microcontroller I am gonna use will be PIC16F877A and the compiler will be MikroC Pro For PIC.
This tutorial is not a correct method of driving any DC motor. In this tutorial, I am just givi ...
Hi mentees, we are here with a new tutorial. I hope you all are fine. So far, we have been designing combinational circuits i.e. Adder, Subtractor, Multiplexer etc. using logic gates. But from today onward, we will design sequential circuits using logic gates i.e. Latches, Flip Flops etc. Let's quickly recall what's the difference between combinational & Sequential Circuits:
Combinational Circuits:
Combinational circuits only use the current state of the input values to generate the output.Examples of DLD Combinational Circuits are: Adders, Subtractors, Multiplexers etc.
Sequential Circuits
Sequential Circuits use both the current & previous states of the inputs to generate the output.Examples of DLD Sequential Circuits are: Latches, Flip Flops, Timers, Counters etc.
Digital M ...
