WHAT IS IT?
Proteus 8 has no ESP32-S3 or SX1262 processor model, so this is NOT a real ESP32-S3 chip. Our team has put a lot of
effort into
building this board ourselves: it is LilyGO's T-Beam Supreme - the black board with the T-Beam-S3 Core (ESP32-S3, an
SX1262 LoRa
radio and a MAX-M10S GNSS), the 1.3" SH1106 OLED, the SMA socket, USB-C and the RST, PWR and BOOT buttons - that runs
YOUR ESP32-S3
Arduino sketch in Proteus:
* You write a normal T-Beam Supreme sketch (the GPIO numbers of the board, analogRead 0-4095, analogWrite, ledcWrite,
attachInterrupt, Wire, SPI, Serial, WiFi, WebServer, HTTPClient ...) and compile it in the Arduino IDE with our
board package
"TEP Boards for Proteus" 1.48.0 (in Arduino Code - see INSTALLATION).
* The SX1262 is ON the board: new Module(10, 1, 5, 4) with RadioLib talks to the other TEP LoRa boards of the design.
* The GPS is ON the board: Serial1 gives NMEA at 9600 baud (RX 9, TX 8), read with TinyGPSPlus, from the properties
GPSLAT, GPSLON,
GPSALT, GPSSPEED, GPSHEADING, GPSSATS and GPSFIX.
* The SH1106 OLED is ON the board at I2C 0x3C (SDA 17, SCL 18): what your sketch draws appears on the part.
The board lies in landscape, the SMA socket on the left. The 13 + 13 pads run along the OLED (top row: TXD RXD RST DC1
DC5 GND DC4
B-LDO2 GND VSYS GND VBUS VBAT; bottom row: IO48 IO21 IO6 IO3 IO2 IO38 IO39 IO45 IO46 A-LDO2 GND SCL SDA, from LilyGO's
pin diagram).
DC5, DC4, the LDOs, VSYS and VBAT are drawn only. It is smaller than the real board so that it fits an A4 sheet with
room to spare.
TEP additions: the PCB antenna's colours, the PANEL pad (or the OLED) opens the board's panel, the USB-C port opens
the serial
monitor.
Limits (say them before you start): your sketch gets 8 KB of RAM in the simulation (the real board: 512 KB plus 8 MB
of PSRAM), about
256 KB of flash, int is 16 bits in the simulation (use long / int32_t for big numbers), no FreeRTOS tasks, no second
core, no
Bluetooth, no ESP-IDF, no real TLS, no soft AP. The AXP2101 power chip, the board's own BME280, QMC6310, QMI8658,
PCF8563 and TF card,
and the second I2C bus are NOT modelled: the radio, the GPS and the OLED are always on. See MODEL SCOPE AND LIMITS.
ONE DEVICE (search "T-BEAM SUPREME" in Pick Devices):
T-BEAM SUPREME "LilyGO T-Beam Supreme" V1.0 (Microprocessor ICs > ESP32 Boards), prefix U, model TEPNET.DLL. Two
TEP windows, none
with a Windows title bar: the panel (the PANEL pad: Wi-Fi, Pins, Test, Settings, Help) and the serial monitor (the
USB-C port,
115200 baud: Monitor, Plotter and Board tabs).
The same TEPNET.DLL also runs our other Wi-Fi boards; it replaces any older TEPNET.DLL (keep only this newest one in
MODELS).
TEST STATUS
V1.0: verified in Proteus 8.5 on 30 Oct 2026 with the demo project as shipped. What the Proteus run showed:
* T-Beam-Supreme-Hiker-Tracker: U1's monitor printed "BME280 ready", "SX1262 ready, 868.0 MHz SF7" and "GPS fix:
35.3950, 74.5900 3300 m"; U2 printed "Listening on 868.0 MHz SF7".
* Every 5 s U1 sent a LoRa packet, U2 printed the distance, the direction, the height and the pressure, and answered:
U1 printed "The base camp heard".
* STORM on the BME280's window: ">> STORM WARNING" on U1, ">> Storm warning from the hiker" on U2, both OLEDs showing
it.
* BOOT (the monitor's Board tab): ">> SOS ON" on U1, ">> SOS from the hiker" on U2, its white LED on.
* about 30 s of simulation, no errors, with the pop-ups, the panels and the monitors open.
INSTALLATION (about 3 minutes)
1. Close Proteus. Extract the WHOLE ZIP to a normal folder (e.g. Desktop).
2. Copy everything in "Proteus Library Files" to the LIBRARY folder of Proteus, for example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional\LIBRARY
(on some PCs: C:\ProgramData\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional\LIBRARY). TEPTBSUPREME.LIB is the board;
the others
are the demo's parts: TEPHELTECV3.LIB and TEPBME280.LIB.
3. Copy the DLLs from "Proteus Model Files" (TEPNET.DLL, TEPBME280.DLL) to the MODELS folder (...\Proteus 8
Professional\MODELS) -
replace an older TEPNET.DLL (this one is the first that knows the T-Beam Supreme).
4. Delete TEPTBSUPREME.IDX from the LIBRARY folder if it is there.
5. The Arduino IDE (only to compile your own sketches - the demo has its HEX files): copy the folder
"Arduino Code\TEP Boards for Proteus\hardware" into your sketchbook folder (normally Documents\Arduino), so that
Documents\Arduino\hardware\tep\avr\boards.txt exists (replace an older copy); restart the IDE. The Arduino AVR Boards
platform must be installed (it comes with IDE 1.8.x; in IDE 2.x install "Arduino AVR Boards" from the Boards
Manager once).
Tools > Board > TEP Boards for Proteus > T-Beam Supreme (TEP Proteus). From the Library Manager: RadioLib,
TinyGPSPlus,
Adafruit BME280, Adafruit Unified Sensor, Adafruit GFX, Adafruit SSD1306.
6. Start Proteus. In Pick Devices (P) search "T-BEAM SUPREME".
RUN THE DEMO
Keep the .hex files and the DLLs beside the project in "Proteus Simulation".
T-Beam-Supreme-Hiker-Tracker.pdsprj - U1 the T-Beam Supreme (TBSupreme_Hiker_Tracker.hex) is a hiker's tracker in the
mountains, far
from any phone network: its GPS walks at 5 km/h, and U3 = a BME280 (Advance) on its I2C bus at 0x77 stands for the
sensor on a real
board. U2 = a Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 V3 (Heltec_Base_Camp.hex) is the base camp.
Every 5 s U1 sends a LoRa packet with its position, height, temperature and pressure. U2 answers, and shows how far
away the
hiker is, in which direction, and the weather up there.
Press Run. Click STORM on the BME280's window: the pressure falls 5 hPa below the first reading and both OLEDs warn.
Press BOOT on
the board (or its key on the monitor's Board tab): SOS goes out at once and the base camp's white LED lights.
Closed a window? The USB-C port of the board opens the monitor, the PANEL pad the panel.
THE PINS (the label on the board, what it can do in the simulation)
SDA / SCL GPIO17 / 18: Wire (the OLED at 0x3C is on it; put your own I2C parts here)
TXD / RXD GPIO43 / 44: Serial (the board's monitor)
IO2, IO3, IO6 GPIO, PWM, interrupt, analogRead 0 .. 4095 for 0 .. 3.3 V
IO21, IO38, IO39, IO45, IO46, IO48 GPIO, PWM, interrupt
RST the reset
DC1, VBUS, GND 3.3 V (the logic), 5 V, ground
On the board, not on the pads: the SX1262 (NSS 10, SCK 12, MOSI 11, MISO 13, RESET 5, BUSY 4, DIO1 1), the GPS
(Serial1: RX 9, TX 8), BOOT
(GPIO0, LOW when pressed). The sketches' names: RADIO_CS_PIN, RADIO_DIO1_PIN, RADIO_RST_PIN, RADIO_BUSY_PIN,
GPS_RX_PIN, GPS_TX_PIN,
I2C_SDA, I2C_SCL, BUTTON_PIN.
PROPERTIES (double-click the board > Edit Properties)
PROGRAM the sketch's HEX (Arduino IDE: Sketch > Export Compiled Binary with T-Beam Supreme (TEP Proteus))
LORADIST the LoRa distance to the other boards (10 m ... 20 km)
GPSLAT, GPSLON, GPSALT where the GPS starts and its height; GPSSPEED km/h (0 = standing); GPSHEADING degrees
GPSSATS the satellites; GPSFIX the seconds to the first fix
WIFISSID the router in range (default TEP-WiFi); WIFIPASS its password (default 12345678)
MONITOR YES = the built-in serial monitor on Serial; BAUD its speed (115200, or AUTO)
AUTOOPEN YES = the monitor window opens at Run (the demo: YES)
TROUBLESHOOTING
* RadioLib fails with -2 (chip not found): new Module(10, 1, 5, 4), and on a real board first the AXP2101 and
SPI.begin(12, 13, 11).
* No packet arrives: the same frequency, spreading factor, bandwidth and sync word on both boards.
* Packets go out but no answer comes back: radio.startReceive() after each transmit, and setPacketReceivedAction() in
setup().
* The OLED stays dark: it is an SH1106, not an SSD1306: use a driver with page addressing, and start at column 2.
* The BME280 is not found: the demo's sensor is at 0x77 (SDO HIGH); SDA 17, SCL 18.
* An integer goes wrong above 32767: int is 16 bits in the simulation - use long.

FAQs9 questionsContact TEP
How do I download LilyGO T-Beam Supreme Library for Proteus V1.0?
Wait for the 30-second guest countdown on this page, then press the download button; the file comes straight from our storage. Members who are logged in skip the wait. If the browser opens the file instead of saving it, use its Save as option. The download link is made for you when the countdown ends and works for 15 minutes; a saved or shared link stops working, so share this page instead.
What is inside the archive?
LilyGO T-Beam Supreme Library for Proteus V1.0 comes as a ZIP archive of 238 files (3.5 MB, 7.9 MB unpacked) holding Proteus library files, simulation model DLLs, a Proteus simulation, an Arduino sketch, an Arduino library, compiled HEX firmware and source code. Open the File Structure tab for the full list of 238 files.
What should I do if the download does not start?
Check the browser's download list first; an ad blocker or a company firewall can also hold it back, so try another browser or network. If the file arrives incomplete, download it again. For an installation problem, read the Install tab or tell us in the comments with your software version and the exact error message.
Is this file free?
Yes. Every file in the TEP Download Center is free for learning, personal and student projects. If you share it, link back to this page or the tutorial so others find the latest version.
How do I check that the file arrived complete?
Compare its SHA-256 with the one on this page, e2a6771a460bd3d92a9c7b5cf034abac3a6b35cccdf70e74482e06e86be2cd9a. In PowerShell run Get-FileHash "lilygo-t-beam-supreme-tep-v1-0-e5cb4c264f5f413f82616187b93ad7e6.zip"; on macOS or Linux run shasum -a 256 "lilygo-t-beam-supreme-tep-v1-0-e5cb4c264f5f413f82616187b93ad7e6.zip". The same value means the file is exactly the one in our storage; a different one means the download broke off, so download it again.
Do I need WinRAR to open the ZIP file?
No. Windows, macOS and Linux open ZIP archives on their own (Extract All, or double-click). WinRAR and 7-Zip work too. Extract the whole archive before using the files.
Where do I put the LIB and IDX files?
Both files go into the LIBRARY folder of your Proteus installation (Proteus 8: C:\Program Files (x86)\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional\LIBRARY; Proteus 7 has the same folder under its own name). Restart Proteus afterwards and search for the component with P.
Which Proteus version does the library need?
The tutorial names the Proteus version the library was made and tested with. Most TEP libraries work in Proteus 7 and Proteus 8; if the component does not appear after a restart, check that both the LIB and the IDX file were copied and that Proteus was fully closed while copying.
How do I get the HEX file into the simulation?
Compile the sketch in the Arduino IDE (Sketch → Export Compiled Binary gives you the HEX next to the sketch), then in Proteus double-click the board, set Program File to that HEX and run.
Members skip the wait. Log in or join TEP.
