Hello everyone and welcome to this article. Previously we have been discussing different types of PCB boards and for sure we have not exhausted everything. Today we are going to focus on a very important aspect of the PCB design which is the thermal characteristics of the PCB's working environment. Up to this moment, we have interacted with boards that work best in normal working conditions. But remember there are some working conditions, that have very harsh environment such as high temperatures. Let us take for example temperature in boilers or even electric heaters. Do you think normal FR-4 boards can survive in such temperatures? Don’t you think they will melt off if exposed to high thermal radiation? Your guess is as good as mine. For us to h ...

How Energy Monitoring System Helps In Managing and Functioning Of Business
enerygy monitoring systems
If you want to monitor the utility usage in real-time and if you want to optimize the business utilities, you should make use of the energy monitoring system. It is the software that monitors the utility consumption online like the energy, fluids, gas, and so on. This system helps to calculate the consumption per area like the departments and production lines. It also helps in calculating the consumption per the production like the orders and the items that further helps in calculating the real production cost. With the help of the best type of energy monitoring tool, you can forecast the energy usage in several sectors and then create the alarm if it finds that the site has reached the contractual capacity. The energy management system will furth ...

THT vs SMT
Introduction, The differences between through hole technology and the surface mount technology, Definition, Component mounting, Methods of component mounting, Process of component mounting, Prevalence of use, Reworking and repairs, Soldering type, Area, Components type, Assembly density, Solder joint, Cost of production, Use
Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing great. Today, we are going to share the 9th chapter in the PCB learning series, where we will have a look at the difference between Through-hole and Surface-mount technology. In our previous lectures, we studied both THT and SMT methods separately and have seen that both are used for components mounting on the PCB board. So, today, we will have a look at the difference between the two techniques. So, let's get started without wasting any time. Through-Hole vs Surface-Mount Let us know have a look at these differences and get to know the way forward when it comes to the process of component selection whether SMT or DIP. Definition - THT vs SMT THT stands for through-hole technology. In Through-hole technology, components are mounted by ...

ESP32 Capacitive Touch Sensor in Arduino IDE
ESP32 capacitive touch sensor, What is a capacitive touch sensor and how does it work, Capacitive touch sensor in ESP32, Programming capacitive sensor in ESP32, Code for touchRead, Testing, Code description, Serial monitor, Loop(), Setup()
Hello readers, I hope you are all doing great. Welcome to the 2nd lecture of Section 5(ESP32 Sensors) in the ESP32 Programming Series. In the previous tutorial, we discussed the built-in ESP32 Hall Effect Sensor. In this tutorial, we will discuss another inbuilt sensor of the ESP32 i.e. Capacitive Touch Sensor. ESP32 Board has 10 built-in capacitive touch pins, which generate an electrical signal when someone touches these pins. These ESP32 touch pins are normally used to wake up the board from deep sleep mode. These touch pins are also used to replace the normal mechanical buttons with touch pads, improving the presentation of the IoT projects. Here's the video demonstration of the ESP32 Capacitive Touch Sensor: Before going forward, let's first understand how this touch sens ...

Hello friends, How are you doing? Today, we have a very interesting topic of PLC ladder programming which is how to detect the transition between true and false and from low to high?. I know you are asking why do we need that? Well! Imagine my friends, we want to start a motor when the input signal state changes from high to low or from false to true. Let us give two examples to highlight the edge detection techniques. Good examples of using edge detection-based logic are timers and counters. In counters, they are energized to count up or down when a signal appears and the same for timers. Figure 1 shows the difference between using the edge to control a motor. In the top part, the motor is controlled by an input switch. the output is ON and OFF b ...

What is SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) used for?
What is SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), sls, Selective Laser Sintering, SLS used for
Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. In today's tutorial, we will discuss what is Selective Laser Sintering, why is it used for. Selective Laser Sintering is a popular 3D printing technology used to create durable prototypes and end-use parts from CAD files. Its one of the oldest and most popular forms of additive manufacturing techniques and thanks to further technological advances, its use is becoming widespread. In this guide, we will explore what SLS is and what it is used for.  How does Selective Laser Sintering work? SLS uses a nylon or polyamide powder which is spread successively in thin layers with a high-powered laser that selectively sinters the powder according to data derived from digital models. This process is repeated la ...
