Hello readers, I hope you are all doing great. Welcome to the 2nd lecture of Section 5(ESP32 Sensors) in the ESP32 Programming Series. In the previous tutorial, we discussed the built-in ESP32 Hall Effect Sensor. In this tutorial, we will discuss another inbuilt sensor of the ESP32 i.e. Capacitive Touch Sensor. ESP32 Board has 10 built-in capacitive touch pins, which generate an electrical signal when someone touches these pins. These ESP32 touch pins are normally used to wake up the board from deep sleep mode. These touch pins are also used to replace the normal mechanical buttons with touch pads, improving the presentation of the IoT projects. Here's the video demonstration of the ESP32 Capacitive Touch Sensor: Before going forward, let's first understand how this touch sens ...

Hello readers, hope you all are doing great. Today, we will discuss interrupts and timers in ESP32 and how to handle internal as well as external interrupts. So, we will discuss What is interrupt, Polling, ESP32 interrupt, Software interrupts, Hardware Interrupts, IRS (Interrupt Service routine), Steps to execute an interrupt or how is an interrupt handled in the microcontroller, Code description for ESP32 interrupts with Arduino IDE, Code description for hardware interrupts, Why is it preferred to use timer to add delay instead of using delay() function. So, let's get started: What is Interrupt? Interrupts are used when a micro-controller needs to continuously monitor for an event while the same micro-controller is executing a particular task ...

5 Ways to Prevent Your Car from Being Stolen
Install a security system, Steering locks and wheel clamps, Lock your car, Park in a well-lit area, Don't leave valuables in your car
Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. In today's tutorial, we will have a look at the 5 Ways to Prevent Your Car from Being Stolen. Every year over 720,000 motor vehicles are stolen, according to the official site of the United States government. Thieves have gotten savvy, using technology and new methods to make stealing cars easier than ever. It is crucial to take steps to protect your vehicle from being stolen. Here are five ways to do just that: Install a Security System A good security system includes an alarm, immobilizer, and battery backup if you lose power to your car for any reason. It should have a remote lock/unlock capability which can be helpful if someone finds or steals your keys ...

How has Technology Transformed the Healthcare Sector?
telehealth technology
The evolution of technology over the decades has helped almost all sectors to grow and flourish. And, the medical sector is no different. The way medicine was practiced a couple of decades ago has been completely changed today. This has obviously brought in multiple benefits to the patients. The treatment time has lowered and so has the accuracy increased. People now trust technology to get their treatments done. This article highlights certain technologies that have transformed modern medicine. Electronic health records This is the prime example of how technology has transformed the way of conducting treatments and keeping records. The paper filing system of patients is now long gone. It is now replaced with electronic record-keeping. This ...

Write and Read an I2C EEPROM with STM32
I2C eeprom, Write and Read an EEPROM with STM32, STM32CubeMX project, Serial I2C, I2C EEPROM with STM32
EEPROMs (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memories) allow the non-volatile storage of application data or the storage of small amounts of data in the event of a power failure. Using external memories that allow you to add storage capacity for all those applications that require data recording. We can choose many types of memories depending on the type of interface and their capacity. EEPROMs are generally classified and identified based on the type of serial bus they use. The first two digits of the code identify the serial bus used: Parallel: 28 (for example 28C512) much used in the past but now too large due to having many dedicated pins for parallel transmission Serial I2C: 24 (for example 24LC256) Serial SPI: 25 (for example 25AA080A) Serial - Microwire: 93 (for ...

Hello everyone. Today is a great day that we are going to put our focus on another type of PCB. So far in the previous articles, we have looked at high speed, metalcore, high density interconnect and the ceramic types of PCBs. In this article, we are going to introduce another type of PCB that might find great use in your day-to-day interaction with the printed circuit boards. it is very important for a designer to take note of how PCBs have evolved and how they have become an important aspect in the design of successful electronic devices. It has become hardly difficult to come across any time of an electronic device that does not involve the use of printed circuit boards. In PCB boards you come across LEDs fixed in them, and due to the evolving w ...

STM32 SPI Communication
SPI communication with STM32, SPI in polling mode, SPI in interrupt mode, SPI in DNA mode, SCLK, MOSI, SS
The SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) protocol, or rather the SPI interface, was originally devised by Motorola (now Freescale) to support their microprocessors and microcontrollers. Unlike the I2C standard designed by Philips, the SPI interface has never been standardized; nevertheless, it has become a de-facto standard. National Semiconductor has developed a variant of the SPI under the name Microwire bus. The lack of official rules has led to the addition of many features and options that must be appropriately selected and set in order to allow proper communication between the various interconnected devices. The SPI interface describes a single Master single Slave communication and is of the synchronous and full-duplex type. The clock is transmitted with a dedicated line (not necessari ...
